This is a quick book by famous cartoonist Scott Adams, of Dilbert fame. This book, by Penguin Group, is a great, quick, read.
I loved this little book. I have it in my purse with me, so that I can look at a page or two and get a good laugh when I need it.
I did buy this book for a few new mom friends for Christmas and they loved it too.
Well, the holidays are coming up and I have a ton of gifts to get made. I have come up with a schedule that should help me get everything done, so here it is:
Monday – Mom’s V-Neck
Tuesday – Hat Day – work on hats for the kids
Wednesday – Scarf – want to get at least 5 rows done each week
Thursday – Hat Day
Friday, Saturday and Sunday – work on any of the above or something for myself.
I just started this routine this week but so far so good.
Well, I have been slowly but surely I have been getting stuff out of the house.
1-15: I have either sold or given away baby items that I no longer want/need.
16-18: Donated 3 grocery bags full of clothes.
So far so good.
Again, this is another Mini Book Expo for Bloggers book.
I have been trying out a ton of the recipes. I LOVE this book. It is a great change to the processed food that we tend to eat. The recipes are well written and easy to follow. I have this on my Christmas gift list for a few friends with families. I have recommended it to a ton of people and do know that a few have gone out and purchased it.
I think my favourite recipe is the banana pecan muffins. They are SOOOOO yummy.
Ganong: A Sweet History of Chocolate by David Folster
I acquired this book from Mini Book Expo for Bloggers. First about the site. It is a great site for those who love to read and blog. All you do is claim a book (so long as it is available) and you will be emailed for your information and then a book on your doorstep.
I selected this book because I love Chocolate. I would love for Health Canada to make it a part of the major food groups. Seriously, it is a legit request. This book is filled with the history of the Ganong family/business. It is not one big advertisement, like many other books about companies. The book is jam packed with colour pictures, posters and notes from the company and their chocolates. I usually buy Canadian products whenever possible, and this is one of the beloved chocolate companies in my household. After reading through this book, it is THE chocolate company in my household.
I am going to be passing this on to a fellow readers and chocolate lover. I have registered it on bookcrossing.com and here is how you can see the books adventures: LINK
I sort of abandoned the blog for a bit. Well, I have decided that I really do need to be writing again, and will vow to blog at least once a week.
I am going to make a separate entry for a few books in a few minutes. I am also going to restart the clock on my 101 in 101 days. It will start as of today. I am going to try to do something every day or as close as possible.
I received this book from the Facebook group: HarperCollinsCanada – The Reading Room. It was a part of the June theme giveaway. Here is a link to Harper Collins Canada to understand what the book is about.
Here is what I posted about the book:
I finished the book yesturday and still have mixed feelings about it. The story was great, the language was a little hard to get past (especially when trying to read before going to sleep), but the main character was a different story. As I was reading this, I could not help but want to reach into the book and shake him. As the book ended, I wanted to it that even more.
This is yet to be bookcrossed, so I will repost when I have the BCID so it can be tracked.
Well, I have decided to start actively destashing. This will include all aspects of my life, from crafts, to reading, to finances, to weight, and household items. I have done this before and had a lot of fun, and success, so I thought I would do it again.
I will be giving myself 111 days to get rid of 111 things/items off of/out of my life.
Wish me luck.
Well, seeing as I have this blog, I should use it. I am going to try and write at least once a week, maybe more if something big happens.
In the last week, Noah has cut three teeth:
-the lower right side central incisor
– the upper lateral incisors (both of them);
he has also starting crawling around. It is a big week for us.
Other than that, not much has been happening. I have been reading (Out Backward by Ross Raisin), it is from the HarperCollinsCanada – The Reading Room on Facebook.com. I will post a review when I am done. I am also knitting up a storm. Once I can figure out how to do it, I will post my works in progress on the blog.
